Bezugsflansche GN 723.3 werden in Verbindung mit folgenden Drehknöpfen eingesetzt GN 723.4 ; das hat folgende Vorteile:

- sie sind mit einer Referenzmarkierung für die Drehknopfskala versehen

- sie bilden eine zusätzliche Lagerung für die Verstellwelle

- in der Ausführung mit Reibring wird der Drehknopf gegen unbeabsichtigtes Verstellen, z. B. durch Vibration, gesichert.
